Migrating from S or Itanium/Blade systems to the X type machines is a challenge and everybody is happy, when everything works, and the new system performs as expected.
Sometimes a major performance boos is not activated: The usage of OCAX on code 100 object files, which accelerates the code for the new system.
Besides this, these file may have AXCEL and/or OCA extensions attached, which are meaningless on X machines.
GreenHouse developed a tool, which solves this:
- in case an AXCEL extension is available, it is removed
- in case an OCA extension is available, it is removed
- in case an OCAX extension is NOT available, it is attached.
